Yesterday we heard rumors that Apple’s new iPhones would be called the iPhone XS, XS Plus, and iPhone XC.
Now, according to another report, the handsets will be called the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
These new names come from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who has revealed that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone may end up being called the iPhone XR.
Design and Camera Features
All three models will have a similar design to the existing iPhone X. The LCD model, which is expected to be the iPhone XR, will come with a single-lens camera, making it a more affordable option for consumers who do not require the advanced photography features of the dual-lens systems. The other two handsets, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, will feature dual-lens cameras, offering enhanced photo and video capabilities, including better low-light performance and improved zoom functions.
The iPhone XS and XS Max are expected to continue the trend of edge-to-edge displays and Face ID technology, which has been a significant selling point for the iPhone X. The iPhone XR, while more budget-friendly, will still offer a high-quality display and Face ID, making it a competitive option in the mid-range smartphone market.
Performance and Pricing
All three handsets will be powered by the new Apple A12 processor, which promises to deliver faster performance and improved energy efficiency compared to its predecessor, the A11 Bionic chip. This new processor is expected to enhance the overall user experience, from faster app launches to smoother multitasking and more efficient battery usage.
The LCD iPhone XR is expected to cost around $700, making it the cheapest of the three handsets. This price point is likely to attract a wide range of consumers who are looking for a high-quality iPhone experience without the premium price tag. The other two devices are expected to start at $900 for the iPhone XS, which will offer a more premium experience with its dual-lens camera and other advanced features. The top-tier iPhone XS Max could cost as much as $1200, positioning it as a luxury device with the largest display and most advanced features in the lineup.
Upcoming Apple Event
Apple is holding a press event tomorrow where they will make their three new iPhones official. This highly anticipated event is expected to draw significant attention from both the media and consumers. In addition to the new iPhones, we are also expecting to see a new Apple Watch, which may come with additional health and fitness tracking features, and possibly some new iPads, which could include updates to the iPad Pro lineup with improved performance and new design elements.
The event is likely to set the stage for Apple’s product lineup for the coming year, and it will be interesting to see how the new devices are received by the public. With the introduction of the iPhone XR, Apple appears to be targeting a broader audience by offering a more affordable option without compromising on key features like Face ID and a high-quality display.
