Yesterday we heard that there was an issue with certain versions of Apple iOS 7 relating to email, the problem is affecting users of iOS 7.0.4 and iOS 7.1.1.
When an email is sent with an attachment, using these versions of Apple’s iOS, the attachment is not encrypted, and now Apple has acknowledged the issue and are working on a fix for the problem.
Apple has given a statement to the guys over at iMore, and have confirmed that the issue will be resolved in a future software update, you can see the statement below.
“We’re aware of the issue,” an Apple spokeswoman told iMore, “and are working on a fix which we will deliver in a future software update.”
As yet there are no details on when Apple will release the software update to fix the iOS 7 email bug, as soon as we get some more information on when it will be released, we will let you guys know.
