Yesterday the sixth beta of iOS 11.2.5 was released to developers, the update was an unexpected one as we were expecting the fifth beta of the OS to be the last one. Apple released the sixth beta of the software with a bug fix for the ChaiOS bug that freezes your iPhone when it is sent a specific link in messages.
Now it looks like Apple will be releasing their iOS 11.2.5 software update next week. Apple has confirmed to MacRumors that a software update is coming next week to fix the malicious link bug in iOS related to messages.
The company did not confirm which version of iOS they would be releasing, although considering that the new iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 includes this bug fix, then there is a pretty good chance that the software will land next week.
The new iOS update will also bring some other bug fixes and performance improvements to the iPhone and iPad and also some new features. One of the new features is the ability to ask Siri to play you the latest news. Siri will then play you a news podcast from a range of news providers. You can choose from CNN, Fox News, NPR and The Washington Post in the US. There are different options in other countries like the UK and others. As soon as we get some details on the exact release date of the iOS 11.2.5 software update, we will let you guys know.
