One of the new devices that we are expecting to see at Apple’s WWDC 2017 this month is their new Siri Speaker.
We have been hearing rumors about Apple’s Siri Speaker for some time and now it looks like the device has gone into production.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple have started production of their new Siri powered speaker and whilst it will be announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference this month, it will not ship until later in the year.
What to Expect from the Siri Speaker
There are very little details about the new Siri Speaker and what features it will have to set it apart from the Amazon Echo and Google Home. However, it is anticipated that Apple will leverage its advanced ecosystem to offer unique functionalities. For instance, the Siri Speaker is expected to integrate seamlessly with other Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs, providing a more cohesive user experience. Additionally, it may feature superior sound quality, given Apple’s acquisition of Beats Electronics and their expertise in audio technology.
The Siri Speaker is also likely to include advanced voice recognition capabilities, allowing it to understand and respond to a wider range of commands. This could make it more versatile and user-friendly compared to its competitors. Furthermore, there are speculations that the device will support HomeKit, Apple’s framework for smart home devices, enabling users to control their home environment using voice commands.
Other Announcements at WWDC 2017
We are also expecting to see other new devices at WWDC this month. This will include a new 10.5 inch iPad Pro, which is rumored to feature a nearly bezel-less display, offering more screen real estate without increasing the overall size of the device. This new iPad Pro is expected to come with a faster processor, improved camera capabilities, and possibly even support for HDR content.
In addition to the iPad Pro, Apple is anticipated to unveil a range of new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook notebooks. The new MacBook Pro models are expected to come with updated processors, possibly Intel’s latest Kaby Lake chips, which would offer better performance and energy efficiency. The MacBook Air, which has not seen a significant update in years, might also receive a refresh, potentially with a Retina display and improved internals.
The MacBook lineup is also expected to see some enhancements. The 12-inch MacBook could get a performance boost with new processors and possibly more RAM options. These updates would make Apple’s laptop offerings more competitive in the market, catering to both casual users and professionals who require powerful computing devices.
In summary, WWDC 2017 is shaping up to be an exciting event with several new product announcements. The Siri Speaker, with its potential to integrate deeply into Apple’s ecosystem, could be a game-changer in the smart speaker market. Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro and refreshed MacBook lineup will likely attract a lot of attention from consumers and tech enthusiasts alike.
