We were not expecting the RAM management and multitasking bug to be fixed until iOS 13.3, but Apple has now released iOS 13.2.2 which addresses the issue. Apple has also released iPadOS 13.2.2, the bug was introduced with iOS 13.2.
The update comes with a number of bug fixes and performance improvements the main one is for the RAM management and multitasking bug that would cause apps to quite when they were running in the background.
This would mean that apps would then be reloaded when you opened them and this was happening on a quite a lot of apps like, Safari, YouTube and many more. Here is what is included in the update.
iOS 13.2.2 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone. This update:
– Fixes an issue that could cause apps to quit unexpectedly when running in the background
– Resolves an issue where iPhone may temporarily lose cellular service after a call
– Addresses an issue where cellular data may temporarily not be available
– Fixes an issue that caused replies to S/MIME encrypted email messages between Exchange accounts to be unreadable
– Addresses an issue where using Kerberos single sign-on service in Safari may present an authentication prompt
– Resolves an issue where charging may be interrupted on YubiKey Lightning-powered accessories
There are also some improvements in the update which are specific to the iPad, you can see the iPad release notes below.

The iOS 13.2.2 update is now available for the iPhone and the iPadOS 13.2.2 update is now available for the iPad, you can install the update by going to Settings > General > Software update on your device.
