Apple iWatch To Feature Round Display (Rumor)

Apple iWatch

The Apple iWatch is expected to launch in September with the new iPhone 6, and now it would appear that we have more details about Apple’s new wearable gadget.

The Motorola Moto 360 is one of the best looking smart watches we have seen so far, the main reason for this is that it features a round display and a similar design to a traditional wrist watch.

According to a recent report by Rosenblatt Securities Analyst Brian Blair, the Apple iWatch will also feature a round display, although the design of the device is said to be slimmer than that of the Moto 360.

We also heard previously that there would be more than one version of the device, one with a 1.3 inch display for women, the other with a 1.7 inch display for men.

Apple apparently had big plans for the Apple iWatch, the company is said to be making around 18-21 million units of their new smartwatch by the end of the year.

This would suggest that the Apple iWatch will be priced reasonably, probably under $300, if Apple intends to sell millions of units of the device before the end of the year, than a more reasonable price tag would help them achieve this.

The iWatch is expected to come with a sapphire glass display, and the device will come with a range of features which will include health and fitness tracking, and we are also expecting the device to be integrated into the new Apple home automation platform.

The current smart watches on the market from the likes of Sony and Samsung have a square display, Samsung are also rumored to be working on a new Gear smartwatch with a round display, and we suspect that the models with a round display, like the Moto 360 and the Apple iWatch will become popular.
