It turns out Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is not just the only handset which will see a price cut in India, Apple iPhone 5S will see a price drop as well in the region.
The 16GB iPhone 5S in gold is now available for INR 41,099 on FlipKart, and almost a similar price on Amazon India as well. Do note that Apple has not officially reduced the price, it’s just the retailers in the region.
The device launched in November last year for INR 53,500, which may be considered a hefty sum for a majority of people in the region.
It could be in anticipation of the upcoming iPhone 6 which is rumored to launch next month. Apple is said to be working on a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6, which will see the light of the day by the end of September. Apart from a larger display, the upcoming device is said to come with an A8 processor, an improved camera, Touch ID, thinner form factor and iOS 8 as its operating system.
Some rumors suggest that Apple will launch the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 in September while the phablet sized 5.5-inch variant will hit retail by the end of the year.
There’s no official word from Apple about the iPhone 6, nor the price cut. But, we’ll update you if we come across any more information about the alleged iPhone 6.
