Apple and Samsung recently announced that they would be dropping all of the patent lawsuits outside of the U.S., and now a recent ruling in the U.S. courts has gone in Samsung’s favor.
Apple had been trying to get sales of certain Samsung devices banned in the U.S., and now Judge Lucy Koh, who has been overseeing the various U.S. cases between the two copmpanies had denied a sales ban of Samsung Galaxy devices in the United States.
Samsung were previously found to infringe on a number of Apple patents with some of their Galaxy devices, you can see a statement from Judge Koh below, with the reasons for the latest ruling.
“Apple has not demonstrated that it will suffer irreparable harm to its reputation or goodwill as an innovator without an injunction”
As yet there is no official statement from either Apple or Samsung on the latest ruling the the patent case between the two companies, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
