During their quarter four earning call, Apple announced that Apple app store downloads have reached a massive 85 billion, an increase of 25 billion from the same time last year.
There are around 1.3 million applications available to download from the Apple app store at the moment, this was the figure that was announced back in September.
With more app downloads comes increased revenue, and Apple saw revenue from their app store increased by 36 percent from the same time in 2013, with total revenue generated from the Apple app store in the quarter of $4.6 billion.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, also said that iTunes billings were up some 22 percent from last year, and 25 percent from the previous quarter.
