Antec has added another gaming case to their range with the launch of the Antec Three Hundred Two gaming case, which Antec describes as being perfect for gamers, system integrators, and casual builders.
The Antec Three Hundred Two is apparently designed for maximum cooling, and it features a perforated front bezel, with dual TwoCool fans and up to four optional fans including a 120mm CPU exhaust fan.
“The Three Hundred Two is an excellent enclosure for those who want to build a reliable, long-lasting PC,” said Mafalda Cogliani, Global Marketing Director for Antec. “The enclosure has great cooling and expandability options, making it the perfect choice for anyone looking to build a new and affordable gaming PC with high functionality and design.”
Design and Build Quality
The Antec Three Hundred Two is crafted with a focus on durability and user-friendliness. The case is constructed from high-quality steel, ensuring that it can withstand the rigors of frequent use and transportation. The perforated front bezel not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also enhances airflow, which is crucial for maintaining optimal temperatures during intense gaming sessions.
The case includes a tool-less design for 5.25″ and 3.5″ drive bays, making it easier for users to install and replace components without the need for additional tools. This feature is particularly beneficial for casual builders who may not have extensive experience with PC assembly.
Cooling and Expandability
Cooling is a critical aspect of any gaming case, and the Antec Three Hundred Two excels in this area. The dual TwoCool fans provide efficient airflow, ensuring that the internal components remain cool even under heavy loads. Additionally, the case supports up to four optional fans, including a 120mm CPU exhaust fan, which can be installed to further enhance cooling performance.
For those who require additional cooling solutions, the case also supports liquid cooling systems. This makes it a versatile option for gamers who plan to overclock their CPUs or GPUs, as liquid cooling can significantly reduce temperatures compared to traditional air cooling.
The Antec Three Hundred Two also offers ample space for expandability. It supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, providing flexibility for different build configurations. The case includes seven expansion slots, allowing users to install multiple graphics cards, sound cards, and other peripherals.
Additional Features
One of the standout features of the Antec Three Hundred Two is its cable management system. The case includes strategically placed cutouts and tie-down points, making it easier to route cables neatly and efficiently. This not only improves the overall aesthetics of the build but also enhances airflow by reducing clutter inside the case.
The case also includes USB 3.0 ports on the front panel, providing high-speed connectivity for external devices. This is a valuable feature for gamers who frequently transfer large files or use external storage devices.
Another noteworthy feature is the inclusion of washable air filters. These filters are located on the front and bottom of the case, preventing dust and debris from entering the system. Regular cleaning of these filters can prolong the lifespan of the internal components and maintain optimal cooling performance.
The Antec Three Hundred Two gaming case will retail for $79.95 and it will be available from Newegg and other retailers in the US shortly.
