Android smartphone and tablet users that have been patiently waiting for the awesome Anki Drive racing car game to be supported by Android hardware. Will be pleased to know that the day has finally arrived.
The Anki Drive racing game now supports the Samsung Galaxy S4, S5 or Galaxy Note 3, 4 or 10.1 (2014 Edition), and Nexus 5 and the companion application is now available to download from the Google Play Store.
In preparation for the holiday season the Anki Drive starter kit has now been reduced down to $150 and a new remote control car has been added to the range of vehicles you can use.
“Anki Drive uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver the first video game in the real world. Each car has been engineered to think: It knows where it is, makes decisions, and drives itself. Using your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or iPad mini, you can take control of a car to play against friends or AI cars. But watch your back – Anki DRIVE AI cars have been designed to take you out.”
Unfortunately the racing game still does not support cross platform play and will at the current time not allow Android and iOS users to play together on the same track.
For more information on the new Anki Drive racing game jump over to the official website for details and full specifications.
