Last month, a list of devices was revealed by Samsung to a Polish blogger, which included most of the Galaxy devices. The only device which was missing from the list was the Samsung Galaxy S3, which turned out to be a big disappointment for Galaxy S3 users.
Recently, an internal Samsung document was leaked that shows there’s hope for the Samsung Galaxy S3, as it mentioned it will get Android 4.4 KitKat along with a bunch of other devices.
The reason mentioned was of low memory, but the operating system is optimized to work on devices with lower memory, and some of the devices in the list did have the same 1GB RAM as the Galaxy S3. But, now it seems there’s no need to panic as Samsung Galaxy S3 with model number GT-I9300 might get the chocolaty taste of Android 4.4 Kitkat after all.
In addition, it also mentions that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (SM-N7100) and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) will also get the taste of Android 4.4 KitKat in April-May 2014.
Well, Samsung has been slow when it comes releasing updates for its flagship devices. Although they did release the Android 4.4 KitKat for both the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3, it still hasn’t made its way to several regions. We’re using an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 (both Exynos models), but the update has not arrived at the time of writing.
Well, in any case, it should come as a good news. We’ll update you as soon as Samsung announce about the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Until then, take this as a speculation.
