As well as announcing their new Amazon Login and Pay service this week Amazon has also announced the launch of a new feature for their Whispersync service called Whispersync for Voice.
Which has been created be Amazon to enable e-book readers and listeners to switch back and forth between a Kindle book and Audible narrated book, without ever losing their place.
The new Whispersync for Voice synchronises your Kindle books with audiobooks for an uninterrupted reading and listening experience within the same book, allowing you to carry on from one to another seamlessly without losing your place.
As a companion to the new Whispersync for Voice service Amazon has also launched a new feature called Amazon Matchmaker that will now automatically match your Amazon e-book purchases with audiobooks of the same title enabling you to combine the two.
Amazon explained in its press release today that it’s double the selection of Whispersync for Voice titles available to users to over 30,000 and using the new Amazon Matchmaker system Amazon customers can now link e-books and audiobooks together with a simple click.
