The latest addition to the Roku range is a new Roku HDMI Streaming Stick which has been launched today and provides users with the ability to stream both 720p and 1080p high definition footage.
Priced at just $49.99 the new Roku HDMI Streaming Stick has positioned itself as a competitor to Google’s Chromecast device and works in a similar way connecting to your wireless network.
The latest Roku HDMI Streaming Stick is also equipped with Roku’s intuitive interface as with the rest of the Roku hardware in the range and provides users with access all of the system’s 1,200 or so applications.
The Roku HDMI Streaming Stick also comes supplied with a remote that’s supports Wi-Fi Direct, meaning that no line of sight is required to operate it. The Roku HDMI Streaming Stick measures just 78.6 x 26.8 x 11.3 mm and connects to the HDMI port on your HDTV.
The new Roku HDMI Streaming Stick is now available to pre-order directly from the Roku website for $49.99 and has been built to support HDTVs only.
