One thing that was not announced at this weeks Apple event was the new 21.5 inch Retina iMac, we previously heard that the device would launch in October.
Now according to a recent report, Apple has started production of the new 21.5 inch Retina iMac and it will apparently launch some time in quarter four.
Production of a new 21-inch iMac featuring a 4096 by 2304 screen kicked off in early September and will be launched in the fourth quarter, with shipments in the quarter estimated at 1.4-1.5 million units, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.
We suspect that the new 21.5 inch Retina iMac will launch some time in October, as soon as we get some details on exactly when it will launch and how much it will retail for, we will let you guys know.
