Subaru pulled the covers off the car that is bidding farewell to the EJ engine family. The car is the WRX STI EJ20 Final Edition. The EJ line of engines will be discontinued at the end of the year. The special edition is based on the Japanese-spec WRX STI Type S.
The car will come in World Rally Blue Pearl with gold 19-inch BBS wheels. These cars also have slight bits of red in the grille and Ultra suede inserts inside the car reports Motortrend.
Subaru will make 555 units, and all are for Japan. If more orders are received for the car than production, a lottery will be held. The only EJ engine in the US now is the WRX STI 2.5L turbo flat-four making 310hp and 290 pound-feet of torque.
