ZTE has announced another new Android smartphone, this one is a budget device, the ZTE Blade C which will be launched in China and also looks like it is headed to Europe.
The ZTE Blade C features a 4 inch WVGA display and comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, processing is provided by a dual core 1GHz MediaTek MTK 6577 processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM.

Specifications and Features
Other specifications on the ZTE Blade C include 4GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot, allowing users to store more apps, photos, and media files. The device also features a 3 megapixel rear camera, which, while not the highest resolution, is adequate for basic photography needs and casual snapshots.
The ZTE Blade C is powered by a 1600 mAh battery, which should provide a decent amount of usage time given the phone’s modest hardware requirements. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi, ensuring that users can stay connected to the internet and other devices with ease.
Market Position and Availability
The handset will go on sale in China for the equivalent of $110, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers who are looking for a functional smartphone without breaking the bank. The affordable price point is likely to appeal to students, first-time smartphone users, and those looking for a secondary device.
There are no details as yet on when it will be available in Europe, but given ZTE’s history of releasing devices in multiple markets, it is expected that the Blade C will make its way to European consumers in the near future. The European market has a strong demand for budget-friendly smartphones, and the ZTE Blade C could find a niche among users who prioritize cost over cutting-edge features.
In addition to its affordability, the ZTE Blade C’s use of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean means that users will have access to a wide range of apps and services available on the Google Play Store. While it may not support the latest apps that require more advanced hardware, it will still provide a robust smartphone experience for everyday tasks such as browsing the web, checking emails, and using social media.
The inclusion of a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek MTK 6577 processor ensures that the device can handle multitasking and run most apps smoothly, despite its budget status. The 512MB of RAM, while modest by today’s standards, is sufficient for the device’s intended use case.
Overall, the ZTE Blade C represents a solid option for those in need of an affordable smartphone that covers the basics without unnecessary frills. Its combination of a reasonable price, essential features, and the backing of a reputable manufacturer like ZTE makes it a noteworthy contender in the budget smartphone market.
