Sony Ericsson has announced that their existing Xperia smartphones will receive Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread from October 2011, and it will bring a range of new features to the Xperia devices including Google Talk with video chat for Xperia devices with front facing video cameras.

There is no exact date for the release, all we know so far is that Android 2.3.4 will be released to Xperia smartphones some time in October.
