Cyclists looking for a more innovative and up-to-date way to manage the security of their bike when they are not around, might be interested in a new smartphone connected bike lock called the Skylock.
Skylock has been specifically designed to provide cyclists with keyless access to their bike, wirelessly by simply letting them walking up to their bike with their smartphone in a pocket. Watch the video after the jump to see the Skylock bike lock in action and learn more about its features.
Skylock has been designed to connect to your smartphone so you never need to worry about losing your key or remembering a combination to access your bike. Skylock also has a built-in solar panel that recharges the internal battery always making sure you can access your bike when needed. Its creators explain :
“Skylock is built to withstand the toughest abuse. It will even sense when it’s being tampered with and send you an alert. Skylock has been designed to military standards. It has been built to withstand even the toughest breaking methods.
Skylock uses Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to notify you if your bike is disturbed. This is our anti-theft feature. If your bike shakes, Skylock will feel it, and send you an alert.”
