Kensington Unveils New Office Dock sd3500v for Notebooks

If you’re the sort of computer user that uses a notebook exclusively, there are some times when you want a larger screen and full-size peripherals. It can be a pain plugging and unplugging an external screen, keyboard, and mouse each time you come and go from your desk. Kensington has a new dock that uses USB 3.0 and DisplayLink technology that gives you all the access you want with one cable.

The dock is called the Office Dock sd3500v. It offers support for HDMI and DVI/VGA displays. It also has an integrated Gigabit Ethernet port and supports up to 5.1-channel audio via HDMI. The docking station has USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 expansion ports.

It uses the DisplayLink DL-3900 IC chip to control video with only one USB connection. The Office Dock is available worldwide right now for $169.99. This might be the perfect way to get all the connectivity you need at home or in the office with a single USB cable.
