Earlier today Spotify announced their new Family Plan, which can give you a saving of up to 50 percent on current prices, and according to a recent report, Apple also has plans to make their Beats Music cheaper.
At the moment a subscription to Beats Music will cost you $10 a month, although according to a recent report by re/code, Apple is looking to drop the price of a Beats subscription to $5 a month.
Apple has apparently been pushing the music labels for some price cuts, that would allow the company to reduce the price of Beats Music by 50 percent.
Apple has been using the argument with the labels that their best iTunes customers spend about $60 a year on music downloads which works out at $5 a month, the same they want to charge for their music streaming.
Whether or not Apple will be able to convince the music labels to drop their prices b y around 50 percent for music streaming remains to be seen.
This would also drop the price of other music streaming services, as the labels would have to offer them the same sort of deal as they would be offering Beats Music.
