One of the new devices that ZTE is showing off at this year’s CES is their new phablet, the ZTE Iconic Phablet, and now we have a video which shows the device in action.
The ZTE Iconic Phablet features a 5.7 inch display that has a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm processor and it comes with 1GB of RAM, which should provide a decent performance for everyday tasks and moderate multitasking.
This new phablet from ZTE comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which, while not the latest version of Android, still offers a smooth and user-friendly experience. The device also features 8 GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot, allowing users to store more apps, photos, and videos.
Camera Capabilities
On the back of the handset, there is an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash for photos and video. This camera should be sufficient for capturing everyday moments with decent quality. Up front, there is also a 1-megapixel camera for video chat, which, while not the highest resolution, should be adequate for video calls and selfies.
The ZTE Iconic Phablet also comes with a 3,200 mAh battery, which should provide a good amount of usage time, allowing users to go through their day without needing to recharge frequently. Additionally, the device supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, ensuring that users can stay connected to the internet and other devices with ease.
Additional Features and Considerations
One of the standout features of the ZTE Iconic Phablet is its large display, which makes it ideal for media consumption, such as watching videos, browsing the web, and playing games. The HD resolution ensures that the content looks sharp and vibrant. The dual-core Qualcomm processor, while not the most powerful on the market, should handle most tasks without significant lag.
Another important aspect to consider is the software. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, although not the latest version, still offers a range of features and a smooth user experience. Users can access the Google Play Store to download a wide variety of apps and games, enhancing the functionality of the device.
The 8 GB of built-in storage may seem limited, but the inclusion of a microSD card slot allows users to expand the storage capacity, making it more versatile. This is particularly useful for users who like to store a lot of media files or install numerous apps.
As yet, there are no details on pricing or on a launch date. However, given ZTE’s history of offering competitively priced devices, it is likely that the ZTE Iconic Phablet will be an affordable option for those looking for a large-screen device without breaking the bank. As soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
