Hong Kong based mini PC manufacturer ZOTAC has this week announced its awesome and very small ZBOX Pico PI225 fanless mini PC, has won the prestigious 2018 iF Design Awards in the Product Computer category. To recap the ZOTAC ZBOX Pico PI225 is the world’s smallest and thinnest mini PC which offers both silent performance and an ultracompact design, which comes pre-installed with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system. Connectivity of the small device includes support for Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11ac with Internal Wi-Fi Antenna , and the tiny PC is also equipped with 2 x USB 3.0 Type-C Ports.
The 2018 iF Design Award is not the first award for design and innovation the Pico PI225 mini PC has won and joins the European Hardware Awards 2017 and Computex d&i Awards during 2016 and 2017. The ZBOX pico PI225 was judged by the iF International Forum Design GmbH from 6,400 entries across 54 countries and won.
Designed to provide desktop performance into a tiny form factor the small mini PC features a completely fanless passive-cooled blueprint, no moving parts, and sipping energy efficiency, says Zotac. Internally the tiny mini PC is equipped with an Intel N3350 dual core, 1.10 GHz processor, supported by 4GB LPDDR3 Memory together with Intel HD Graphics 500 and includes 32GB eMMC onboard storage with the addition of a handy Micro SDHC/SDXC to expand storage even further if required.
