We recently heard that the YouTube App for the iPhone and iOS was causing a drain on the battery on the iPhone and iPad.
The battery issue was affecting users of the iPhone and iPad who were running Apple’s iOS 11. Some reports saw the battery on their device dropping by 20 percent after using the app for just 15 minutes. Google previously confirmed that they were working on a fix for the problem.
Google has now released a new version of the YouTube app for the iPhone and iPad and it comes with the fix for the battery issues.
