Yamaha have today officially launched their new ultra-rugged PDX-11 portable speaker dock which is being designed for Apple’s iPod and iPhone devices. It’s available in 4 different colour options white, dark blue, green and black and can be powered by either its internal battery or an external power supply if preferred.
The octagonal horn-shaped design of the Yamaha PDX-11 provides a rugged chasing which is finished with a perforated steel grill and a carrying handle positioned on the top. It’s equipped with a powerful 4 inch woofer designed to provide accurate bass and stunning mid-range, with a separate tweeter providing the high frequencies.
Yamaha explains:
“The PDX-11 was conceived by Yamaha as a portable playback product that mirrors the philosophy of the iPod itself – to give consumers the freedom to enjoy and share music absolutely anywhere, through a stylish device that is compact, easy and fun to use,” -“There is no other comparably priced device on the market that approaches what the PDX-11 offers in sound quality, portability, rugged design and aesthetics. People who see it will want it. People who hear it will want it even more.”
It’s also fitted with a 3.5 mm mini jack on the rear which allows you to connect it to PC, Mac or an external audio player if desired. The new Yamaha PDX-11 portable speaker dock is now available to purchase for around $100
