Stackable mini PC systems seem to be becoming more popular with manufacturers, and this year a few have been unveiled, including the new Wibtek Q7. This innovative mini PC comes equipped with a number of useful modules, including a projector and extra battery power.
Chinese company Wibtek Q7 unveiled a new stackable mini PC earlier this month at the Computex 2015 show in Taiwan. Revealing they have equipped the mini PC with an Intel Braswell or Broadwell-U processor. The Intel processor is supported by 8 GB of RAM and is capable of powering the 350-lumen projector module that sits on top of the computer stack. Other features include 6 x USB ports, VGA, HDMI, 1 x Ethernet, and COM ports together with a handy SD card slot. Watch the video below to learn more about the new Wibtek Q7.
Modular Design and Expandability
One of the standout features of the Wibtek Q7 is its modular design, which allows users to customize their setup according to their needs. The stackable nature of the mini PC means that additional modules can be added or removed with ease. For instance, if you need more storage, you can simply add a storage module. If you require better graphics performance, a dedicated GPU module can be stacked on top. This flexibility makes the Wibtek Q7 an excellent choice for both personal and professional use.
The projector module, which offers 350 lumens of brightness, is particularly useful for business presentations or home entertainment. Imagine being able to carry your entire presentation setup in a compact form factor, or turning any room into a mini-theater. The extra battery module ensures that you have enough power to get through your tasks without constantly worrying about finding a power outlet.
Connectivity and Performance
Connectivity is another area where the Wibtek Q7 shines. With 6 USB ports, you have ample options for connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, external hard drives, and more. The inclusion of both VGA and HDMI ports ensures compatibility with a wide range of monitors and projectors. The Ethernet port provides a reliable wired internet connection, which is essential for tasks that require stable and fast internet access. The COM ports add an extra layer of versatility, making the Wibtek Q7 suitable for industrial applications where such ports are often required.
Performance-wise, the Intel Braswell or Broadwell-U processor, coupled with 8 GB of RAM, ensures that the mini PC can handle a variety of tasks with ease. Whether you’re multitasking, streaming videos, or running software applications, the Wibtek Q7 is designed to deliver smooth and efficient performance.
