We heard earlier in the week from Vodafone UK that they would be releasing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S II, and now Vodafone has announced that the update will be available today via Samsung’s Kies software.
Vodafone has also said that the update will be available as an over the air update, although this wont start rolling out until next week on Tuesday the 17th of March.
After careful testing to ensure the highest level of quality for our customers, owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 on Vodafone will be able to update their handsets to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on Friday 13 April.
Bringing all the great new features of the latest Android OS to your Samsung smartphone, the new update will initially be made available via Samsung KIES, with over-the-air updates becoming available on Tuesday 17 April.
You can find out more information over at Vodafone, leave a comment and let us know if you are able to update your Galaxy S II via the KIES software on Vodafone today.Filed Under: Android News, Mobile Phone News, Technology News
