Following on from yesterday’s SolidRun NXP i.MX8M Core mini PC systems Variscite has also launched a system based on the NXP’s i.MX 8M quad 1.5GHz Cortex-A53, plus 266MHz real-time Cortex-M4 co-processor, which takes the form of the DART-MX8M System on Module. The miniature SoM measures just 30 mm x 55 mm in size And offers impressive multimedia features including UltraHD 4K display, HEVC/H265/H264/VP9 video decode with HDR.
Features of the DART-MX8M System on Module include a NXP i.MX 8M 1.5GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53, Real-time 266MHz Cortex-M4 co-processor, UltraHD 4K Display: HDMI 2.0, LVDS, DSI, eDP, 2D/3D graphics acceleration and support to install them to 4GB LPDDR4 with 64GB eMMC storage. The DART-MX8M board is also capable of supporting HEVC/H265/H264/VP9 in up to 4K video decode with HDR and is equipped with HQ audio in/out, Gigabit Ethernet, 2x USB 3.0, 2x PCI-E, Camera in. With connectivity provided by support for Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2/BLE.
