Iconic and unique watch maker Urwerk has created a new luxury timepiece in the form of the Urwerk Ur-105 Kryptonite Watch priced at $65,325 and named because of the bright green SuperLuminova numerals and indications features on the watch face.
The black AlTiN-coated titanium 39.5mm octagonal case is fitted with a protective cover and catch which protects the mechanism consisting of four bronze beryllium Geneva crosses satellites, each carrying three hour numerals, that successively “reveal themselves as they parade past the minute rail” to display the time.
“The UR-105 revisits URWERK’s iconic satellite indication, which has been an emblematic and instantly recognisable signature element of the brand for 18 years. It is a wandering hour indication based on a carousel which carries the four satellites, each bearing three numerals for the hours. The hours successively sweep past the minutes scale for an analogue and digital display of the time.”
Features of the Urwerk Ur-105 Kryptonite Watch include 52 Jewels, a 48-hour power reserve, UR 5.02 Self-winding mechanical movement, Sapphire crystal class watch face and a pressure tested case certified to 3ATM, 100 ft or 30m.
