The recent software update for Snapchat has a lot of unhappy users with many wanting to switch back to the previous version of Snapchat.
There is a way to switch back to the previous version of Snapchat, but before you do this you will need to backup you memories. This can be done by going to Settings> Memories > Backup Progress and if it says Complete then everything should be back up.
One all of the memories are backed up you can then install the previous version of the app, although you will need to follow a number of steps to make sure that it does not update to the new version.
To do this you will first need to delete Snapchat from your phone. Once this is done go to Settings > iTunes and App Store and turn off your automatic updates.
You can now download Snapchat to your handset again, although you will then need to reset your password. You can see a full list of steps below that you will need to follow to revert back to the older version.
Step 1: Delete Snapchat.
Step 2: Settings > iTunes and App Store > torn off automatic updates.
Step 3: Downlod Snapchat.
Step 4: Type in your email and then hit forgot password.
Step 5: Choose reset via phone, get the code and type it in, you can now change your password.
Step 6: Login to Snapchat and you are now on the previous version of the app.
It looks like this workaround is only temporary, there are no details on how long it will be available for. If you force quit the app you will apparently get the new version again.
