Moto G2 is one of the best-selling budget Android device out in the market. The handset has launched in many emerging markets, and received its fair share of success.
Its successor, dubbed as the Moto G2, has popped up in the rumor mill a few times in the past few weeks. Recently, a listing on the GFXBench revealed more information about a mysterious Motorola device, believed to be the upcoming Moto G2.
GFXBench lists the alleged device will come with a Motorola XT1063 model number, and rocks a 5-inch display boasting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a clock speed of 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU– the same one found inside the Moto G.
The handset spotted features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP camera on the back for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera, and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat as its operating system.
It’s not a significant bump in terms of specifications when compared with the Moto G, but it apparently offers a better camera. There’s a bigger display as well, a decent bump from 4.5-inch to 5-inch.
Let’s just take this with a pinch of salt. It could be any other handset, but our best guess is that it’s the upcoming Moto G2. We’ll update you if any other information comes up.
