We’ve heard that Samsung is working on another new “E” series smartphone, have spotted a mysterious Samsung device with a SM-E700 model number. The handset was also spotted on Zauba rocking a 5.5-inch display.
Recently, the folks at SamMobile leaked some information about the specifications of the alleged Samsung E5 and E7. Apparently, both devices will be quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7, but are expected to ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed out of the box.
As for the Samsung E7 (SM-E700F), the purported handset will feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display boasting a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, and a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Other rumored features include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,950 mAh battery. The Android 5.0 Lollipop is expected to feature similar UI as the recent Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S5, Note 4, etc.
It’s not just the Samsung Galaxy E7, the company is also expected to launch another mid-range offering, the Samsung Galaxy A5 carrying a SM-E500F model number. The handset will rock a 5-inch HD display, a 2,300 mAh battery and an 8MP rear camera for photos and videos. Rest of the specifications are similar to the alleged Galaxy A7, featuring a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and Android 5.0 as its operating system.
There’s no word from Samsung about the existence of these handsets so a grain of salt is recommended. Samsung has yet to launch the Galaxy A7, while the A3 and A5 are not as widely available as well. So we may have to wait a few more months for Samsung to unveil the new E series smartphones.
