Sony announced their latest flagship device dubbed as the Sony Xperia Z3 at IFA 2014 in Berlin. According to a new rumor, Sony Xperia Z3 will launch on Verizon in the near future as the Sony Xperia Z3v.
The device comes with a similar set of specifications as its predecessor with a few design changes, such as rounded sides, but most of the internal remains the same.
Some reliable documents were sent to the folks at PCMag, hinting at the possible launch of the Sony Xperia Z3 on the Big Red. There’s no word about the availability date at the moment.
Sony Xperia Z3 comes with a 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.5GHz with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
There’s 16GB of built-in storage, coupled with a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB of memory. Similar to the Sony Xperia Z2, the new handset comes with a 20.7MP camera with a wide angle lens, and a comparatively better performance in low-light conditions.
Other features include a 3,000 mAh battery, 2.2MP front-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE support and runs Android 4.4 KitKat as its operating system.
Let’s just take this rumor with a grain of salt as there’s no official word from Sony or Verizon about the launch. We’ll update you as soon as we get any more information.
