Sony has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for Sony Xperia Tablet Z WiFi version with firmware 10.3.1.C.0.136. The firmware sized at 768MB has been spotted in various parts of Europe and is considered a major update compared to the earlier version.
The update is rolling out and the timing might vary based on the country and region you are located in. So, if it has not reached your Xperia Tablet Z, you shouldn’t worry too much.
The update bring a number of changes to Sony Xperia Tablet Z including multi-user function support, notification bar at the top of the screen, an improved user-interface, support for 64GB microSD card, customizable navigation bar with quick settings, new widget functionalities on lockscreen and homescreen, and much more.
In case you want to check the update manually, just go to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > System Updates. Make sure you are connected to WiFi before you check for the update to avoid data charges. You can also update your device by connecting it to your PC using PC Companion for Windows or Bridge for Mac.
