Back in January, Sony announced its latest addition to the budget smartphone line up, the Xperia E1. The handset comes with both dual-SIM and single SIM support.
Recently, Sony Xperia E1 went on sale in Indian shores with a pretty affordable price tag of Rs. 9,990 (almost $160) for the dual-SIM and single SIM variant of the device, and is available in all colors including black, white and purple.
Several Indian retailers including Flipkart and Infibeam are offering the handset, but the price tag is a little different on both of them. Infibeam is selling the dual-SIM Xperia E1 for Rs. 9,899 while it’s available on Flipkar for Rs. 9,990 (and Rs 9,750 for the black and white version). As far as the single SIM Xperia E1 is concerned, it’s available on Flipkart for Rs. 9,990 and is available in purple and white color.
The Xperia E1 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display sporting a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon 200 chipset with a clock speed of 1.2GHz and 512Mb of RAM. Other features include 3MP camera for photos and videos, 4GB storage with a microSD card slot, a 1,750 mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed out of the box.
The handset is also expected to hit the UK in spring, and is already up for pre-orders for £134.99 on Amazon and Clove.
