It seems that Sony is very confident that it will be able to meet the launch day demands of gamers wanting to get their hands on their new next-generation Sony PlayStation 4 games console. As reports are suggesting that Sony has sent to GameStop that the company can sell as many Sony PlayStation 4 preorders as they like.
It was rumoured that Sony put a 100 unit limit on preorders for its Sony PlayStation 4 per store, but now that limit seems to have been lifted and an unlimited amount of Sony PlayStation 4 devices are now available to preorder from any GameStop store.
The CG24/7 website explains that retailers are normally awarded specific stock allocations, spread across its outlets, and take pre-orders up to this limit. However according to a memo on GameTrailers and sources speaking to CVG, major chain GameStop has been advised by Sony to ignore these limits this weekend and take as many Sony PlayStation 4 pre-orders as they can.
The new next-generation Sony PlayStation 4 games console will be available to purchase before the holiday season and will retail for $399. So if you are looking to miss the rush and make sure that you can get your hands on a PlayStation 4 for the holiday season it might be worth a visit to a GameStop store.
