Something tells us landing a job at one of the planet’s leading video game companies wasn’t what former director of the US National Cyber Security Center Philip Reitinger had in mind back in his college years. Nevertheless, PR makes for strange bedfellows and we’ve certainly seen stranger than the company behind Singstar and a former Homeland Security official.
Philip Reitinger has also been named a Senior Vice President with the company, presumably because they couldn’t fit Chief Security Intelligence Officer on a business card.
Kudos to Sony for their first step in implementing a forward thinking security policy. We can only hope security details made up of ex-Blackwater mercenaries dismissed for use of excessive force around the server room will soon follow.
