Back in December, Motorola updated its Droid line up, consisting of Droid Maxx, Droid Mini and Droid Ultra, to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, which did create problems for the users, ending up bricking their device. Later, it was rolled out again to fix the issues.
Now, it seems Motorola is gearing up to update the Droid line up to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Users of Droid Mini, Ultra and Maxx have received soak test invites for the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, hinting at the possible launch of the latest OS.
Members of the Motorola Support Network received an email regarding the soak test, which was sent out Friday morning. The soak tests helps the company find out if there are any problems which have to be sorted out, before it’s rolled out to the entire user base.
There’s no update on Verizon’s website about the update as of now, and even the email sent out to users didn’t mention the enhancements and new features the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat brings for the handsets. We’ll definitely let you know as soon as Motorola and Verizon starts the roll out.
