Tennis players searching for a way to practice their swing may be interested in a new portable tennis ball launcher aptly named the Slinger, which has been designed and built by Joe Kalfa. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Slinger tennis ball launcher which has already raised over $375,000 via Kickstarter thanks to over 1,500 backers with still 30 days remaining on its campaign.
The Slinger portable tennis ball launcher can be easily programmed with your serve preferences and is perfect for practice or warm-ups. Slinger is capable of launching balls from 10 to 80 mph at a variety of different angles and elevations. The launcher can also be set to shoot balls at a feed rate of 2 to 10 seconds depending on your preference.
Specifications of the Slinger include a hopper capable of holding 72 balls when in use or 36 balls during transit And a rechargeable battery that is capable of providing up to 5 hours of use from a single charge. “Slinger allows you to easily control the launch serve using two customisable dials – speed and frequency. You can also manually adjust the barrels’ angle to create a huge variety of serves. We knew that to make a tennis ball launcher for everyone, besides being simple and awesome, it would have to be both portable and affordable. So we got to work. And we couldn’t be prouder of the end product.”
