Samsung and Apple have been fighting it out in court over the last few years, Samsung were originally ordered to pay Apple more than $1 billion in damages although this ended up being reduced by the courts.
Now Samsung has agreed to pay Apple the $584 million in damages that it owes them, the company has said it will pay the damages within 10 days of receipt of an invoice from Apple, the agreement does come with some conditions though.
The company has said that it reserve the right to collect reimbursement from Apple should there be any further developments in the vase between the two company’s. Basically Samsung is saying if the court reduces the damages further, it wants its money back.
The first case between Apple and Samsung started back in 2011, there have been a number of cases over the last few years between the two company’s. Samsung is also trying to have the remaining damages which are $382 million reduced, this is subject to an ongoing court case which will be decided by a jury.
