The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is coming in August, Samsung are holding a press event on the 9th of August for the handset and the device is expected to go on sale the same month.
Sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have apparently not been as high as Samsung had wanted and the company is now looking to the Galaxy Note 9 to increase its smartphone sales.
Samsung Electronics is being forced to accelerate the rollout of its Galaxy Note 9 in order to rekindle its smartphone momentum as sales of its latest flagship models Galaxy S9 and S9+ have been lower than expected, according to sources from Taiwan’s handset supply chain.
As the official Galaxy Note 9 launch date is set on August 9, Samsung is likely to make the availability of the new flagship also in early August, compared to the arrival in late August in previous years, said the sources.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is rumored to come with 6.3 inch OLED display and that will have a QHD+ resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels, plus either a Samsung Exynos 9810 or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
The handset will come with 6GB or 8GB and storage a choice of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The handset will come with Android Oreo and will feature a large 4,000 mAh battery. and dual 12 megapixel cameras.
