Earlier this year, Samsung introduced the mid-range Samsung Galaxy Tab A, which is already available in some markets across the globe.
If you’re tied to T-Mobile, the carrier has announced the Galaxy Tab A will hit the Magenta carrier on August 19th for $0 down and $13.34 for 23 months.
Variants and Specifications
The tablet comes in two variants: an 8-inch variant and a 9.7-inch version. The carrier didn’t specify which version will go on sale on August 19th, but it’s likely to be the 9.7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab A.
As far as the specifications are concerned, there’s a 9.7-inch display sporting a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of on-board storage. Additionally, it features a microSD card slot with support for up to 128GB of memory, allowing users to expand their storage capacity significantly. The tablet ships with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop as its operating system, offering a smooth and user-friendly experience.
Other features include a 5MP rear camera for photos and videos, a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, and a 6,000 mAh battery to ensure there’s enough juice for the tablet to last through the day. The battery life is particularly noteworthy, as it allows users to enjoy extended periods of usage without needing to recharge frequently.
Additional Features and Benefits
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A also comes with several additional features that enhance its usability and appeal. For instance, it includes Samsung’s proprietary software suite, which offers a range of productivity and entertainment apps. These apps are designed to make the most of the tablet’s hardware capabilities, providing users with a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Moreover, the tablet supports multi-window functionality, allowing users to run two apps side by side. This feature is particularly useful for multitasking, as it enables users to browse the web while watching a video or take notes while reading an e-book. The Galaxy Tab A also includes a Kids Mode, which provides a safe and engaging environment for children to explore and learn.
The tablet’s design is another aspect worth mentioning. It features a sleek and lightweight build, making it easy to carry around and use on the go. The 9.7-inch version, in particular, strikes a good balance between screen size and portability, making it an ideal choice for both work and play.
