There will also be a version of the handset in some countries that will be powered by the new Samsung Exynos processor and the handset will come with 64GB of storage.
The new Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature dual cameras on the back, each will come with 12 megapixels and on the front there will be an 8 megapixel camera. The device will also come with wireless charging, Samsung Pay and Android Nougat.
Enhanced Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy S8’s 5.8-inch display is not just any ordinary screen; it boasts a QHD+ resolution, which means users can expect incredibly sharp and vibrant visuals. This is particularly beneficial for media consumption, gaming, and even productivity tasks. The edge-to-edge display design, often referred to as the “Infinity Display,” minimizes bezels and provides a more immersive viewing experience. The on-screen home button is a significant shift from previous models, offering a cleaner and more modern look.
Performance and Storage Options
Under the hood, the Galaxy S8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which is known for its efficiency and performance. This ensures that the device can handle demanding applications and multitasking with ease. The 4GB of RAM complements the processor, providing smooth and responsive performance. For users in certain regions, the device will be equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos processor, which is equally capable.
Storage-wise, the Galaxy S8 comes with 64GB of internal storage, which should be sufficient for most users. However, for those who need more space, the device supports expandable storage via a microSD card slot, allowing for additional storage of up to 256GB. This flexibility ensures that users can store all their photos, videos, and apps without worrying about running out of space.
Advanced Camera Capabilities
The dual 12-megapixel rear cameras are one of the standout features of the Galaxy S8. These cameras are designed to capture stunning photos in various lighting conditions, thanks to advanced sensors and image processing algorithms. Whether you’re taking photos in low light or bright sunlight, the Galaxy S8’s cameras are up to the task. The 8-megapixel front camera is perfect for selfies and video calls, offering clear and detailed images.
Additional Features and Launch Details
In addition to its impressive hardware, the Galaxy S8 comes with several other features that enhance its usability. Wireless charging allows for convenient and cable-free charging, while Samsung Pay offers a secure and easy way to make payments using your phone. The device runs on Android Nougat, providing a smooth and user-friendly interface with access to the latest features and updates from Google.
Samsung will be announcing their new Galaxy S8 along with the Galaxy S8 Plus at a Samsung unpacked press event on the 29th of March. This event is highly anticipated, and fans are eager to see what other surprises Samsung has in store.
