We have been hearing a number of rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus smartphone and now Samsung has filed a trademark for the name ‘S6 Edge+’, which confirms that the company intends to launch a larger version of the S6 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is rumored to come with a 5.7 inch display that will feature a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The device will share similar specifications to the S6 Edge, this will include the Samsung Exynos 7420 octa core processor and 3GB of RAM, the device is also expected to come with a choice of storage options from 32GB to 128GB.
Other rumored specifications for the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus include a 5 megapixel camera on the front and a rear facing 16 megapixel camera, these two cameras are said to be the exact same ones used in the S6 and S6 Edge.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will also come with Android 5.1 Lollipop and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, as yet there are no details on when handset will launch.
