Samsung are expecting to release other versions of their Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone, two were announced at MWC 2015, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, and now we have some details on a third device, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.
References to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active have been spotted in the User Agent Profile of Samsung’s website with the model number SM-G890A.
This model number apparently corresponds to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active for mobile carrier AT&T and the device looks like it will come with a Quad HD display like the existing handsets.
There are no other details on the specifications of the Galaxy S6 Active although we would expect the rest of the hardware to be similar to the S6. We can also expect the device to be a rugged smartphone, designed to be resistant to drops, water and dust, just like the S5 Active.
As soon as we get some more information on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, including confirmation of the hardware and some actual photos of the device, we will let you guys know.
