It would appear that the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones are a hit with the mobile carriers, as the company has received record pre-orders for their new devices.
The news comes in a report from the Korea Times who were told by a Samsung executive that they have received record pre-orders for both handsets.
According to the an executive from a leading mobile carrier., the mobile carriers have ordered 20 million units of the handsets for its launch later this month.
Pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S6 are said to be at 15 million units and pre-orders of the Galaxy S6 Edge are said to be at 5 million units.
It will be interesting to see how popular the new Galaxy S6 smartphones become, sales of last years model, the Galaxy S5 were lower than expected and Samsung has seen its smartphone sales fall.
Samsung are obviously hoping that their new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones will help them increase smartphone sales significantly, it will be interesting to see how the handsets perform.
