There’s no end to the Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors until it’s officially unveiled by the folks at Samsung. Earlier today, we heard that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a fingerprint sensor, and the addition of an iris scanning technology is unlikely.
There’s a new rumor in town that sheds some light on more specifications of the handset, which points out several things we’ve already heard before. According to this new rumor, Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a 20MP camera, opposed to the 16MP ISOCELL camera we’ve heard since the rumors started pouring in.
The rumor surfaced from PhoneArena, whose tipster suggest that it will pack a QHD display and a 2,900 mAh battery, something we already know. The same report also suggests that it will pack some sort of iris sensor that can be used to unlock the device, opposed to what we heard earlier today that making it might not be feasible as the technology is not mature enough, but let’s just see what else this rumor states.
Lastly, the same tipster claims that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will carry the same plastic form factor, so users who are expecting a metallic chassis will be disappointed. Well, this is something we’ve heard before, but many other rumors suggest that we might see two versions: a premium one with a metallic design while the other one will carry the same plastic chassis.
Lets just take this rumor with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed at this point. There are all sorts of rumors going on all over the internet, and people are firing blind shots in every direction about the possible specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S5. But, we’ll definitely find out everything we need to know very soon as the handset is rumored to see the light of the day in March at a press event in London.
Rest is up to you, take the rumors as you please. We’ll update you if we find any other information about the highly rumored handset.
