The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime rumors seem to have dried up over the last few days, so we thought it was time to recap on what we have heard about this new high end Galaxy S5 smartphone over the last few weeks.
We have already seen some photos of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, and the handset is said to come with more premium design, which will include a metal casing over the existing Galaxy S5.
We heard earlier in the week that the new Galaxy S5 Prime is expected to support download speeds of up to 225Mbps in South Korea, as one of the South Korean carriers has been testing a faster LTE network, and the S5 Prime will apparently be the first device to support it.
We also heard previously that the Galaxy S5 Prime will include an aluminum casing instead of a plastic casing, and that the handset will be available in five colors, which will include, gold, black, white, blue and pink.
Last week we saw some photos of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, and we also heard that the handset had appeared in the Bluetooth SIG with the model number SM-G906L.
Many of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime rumors that we have heard have included specifications about the handset, the device is said to feature a 5.1 inch display that will come with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Under the hood of the Galaxy S5 Prime we are expecting to see a new quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM, the handset will also come with an Adreno 420 GPU.
For storage, the Galaxy S5 Prime will come with a choice of either 32GB of 64GB of storage, this can than be expanded by up to another 128GB via the microSD card slot.
Samsung are expected to use the same cameras as on the S5 in the Prime, this would mean that the handset would come with a 2 megapixel front camera and a 16 megapixel rear camera, the device will also come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
So far we have heard various rumors about the Galaxy S5 Prime release date, we are expecting the handset to go on sale in June, along with the Galaxy S5 Mini, and Samsung may also launch the Galaxy S5 Active at the same time.
