We have been hearing about a number of Samsung Galaxy S5 versions over the last few weeks, one of those is the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and now the handset has been leaked, and we have a couple of videos, showing the new Galaxy S5 Active.
The videos below are from TK Tech News On YouTube, and they give us a good look at the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and also confirm some of the handsets specifications.
The Galaxy S5 Active in the videos is an AT&T version of the handset, and it comes with a 5.1 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the device also comes with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, and an Adreno 330 GPU, and it will also come with 2GB of RAM.
The videos also confirm that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active comes with the same cameras as the existing Galaxy S5, up front there is a 2 megapixel camera, and on the back there is a 16 megapixel camera, and the device appears to have some sort of rugged casing, which is obviously designed to protect it from knocks and bumps.
As yet we do not have any details on whether the new S5 Active is more water resistant than the Galaxy S5, the original handset performed well in a range of water tests, so it will be interesting to see if the new S5 Active is more waterproof than the S5.
We are expecting Samsung to launch a number of new devices next month, this will include the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime and the S5 Mini, there are no details as yet on whether the Active will also join the S5 line up next month.
