We’ve seen a number of rumors hinting at the roll out of the latest Android 4.4 KitKat for various Samsung devices, including the oversized Galaxy Mega 6.3.
If you’re rocking a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9200), you be glad to know the Korean OEM is rolling out the Android 4.4 Kitkat update for the device.
Currently, the update is rolling out in Russia, and is only available via Kies. The latest update bumps it to build number I9200XXUDNE4. We’re hoping the over-the-air roll out will begin soon as well, but if you’re impatient, just connect your device to your computer and check for the update via Kies.
Also, the update takes a few weeks to roll out completely and reach all devices, so you may have to wait for some time to get the chocolaty taste of KitKat on your device.
There’s no word about the roll out of the update for other regions, but if it’s rolling out in Russia, it shouldn’t take too much time for the update to arrive in other regions.
We’ll update you as soon as we get more information about the rollout. As for the new features, the latest Android 4.4 KitKat brings a number of visual tweaks such as restyled status bar icons, improved SMS capabilities, Cloud Print Support, camera icon on the lock screen for quick access, and a bunch of other improvements.
